HOUGHTON/HANCOCK, MI— Work on the Portage Lake Lift Bridge is planned for next week.
Crews from the Michigan Department of Transportation will perform deck maintenance on the span between the cities of Houghton and Hancock on Monday and Tuesday. It will be done between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. both days.
Drivers should expect some additional bridge lifts during those times to allow for the maintenance work.
