Arrests Made in Coshocton Drug Case

West Lafayette, OH- The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office arrested several people and it all began with a traffic stop.

The Sheriff’s Office said on Thursday West Lafayette Police were doing active surveillance on a residence in the village. A police were doing active surveillance on a residence in the village.

A police captain initiated a traffic stop on a red Jeep SUV and a K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office assisted and a large amount of suspected Methamphetamine was located.

Two people were taken into custody.

A short time later a warrant was served on a residence where detectives located more suspected narcotics, firearms and drug related items.

Four suspects were taken into custody. Names are being withheld pending review by the Coshocton County Prosecutor.
