Meijer worker caught abusing employee discount: Seven Hills Police Blotter

SEVEN HILLS, Ohio

Theft: Broadview Road

On April 15, police were dispatched to Meijer after a loss prevention officer discovered that an employee was stealing from the Broadview Road store.

An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said that for the last few months, an employee either rang up items for herself at a discount or had another employee ring up the merchandise at a discounted rate.

The Parma woman is suspected of stealing more than $124 through the fraudulent transactions.

She was arrested and cited for theft.

Suspicious situation: East Parkhaven Drive

On April 16, a concerned passerby called police about a man slumped over inside of a vehicle on East Parkhaven Drive.

An arriving officer located the resident, who was awake and sweating.

He also had an aggressive dog barking from the back seat.

The resident, who said he was sweating because he was wearing a jacket, claimed to be taking a nap.

He did admit to taking a few Percocet, while the officer observed an empty booze bottle nearby.

The man was taken to the hospital.

With the owner gone, the dog calmed down and was taken inside by a neighbor.
