CARO, MI — Last spring, a man was found shot to death inside a family cottage in Vassar Township. Nearby lay the carcass of his cat, also dead from gunfire.
Police quickly arrested a suspect in the killing, who recently was found not to be criminally responsible for the homicide due to his psychological state.
